The market
Australia banned engineered stone outright — manufacture, supply and installation from July 2024, and imports from January 2025. The benchtops that material used to fill have to come from somewhere, and buyers here accept a higher price for natural stone because the alternative no longer legally exists.
This is the clearest regulatory opening in any market we serve, and it is not a marketing angle — it is a material being removed from a market by law. We supply benchtop slabs and fabrication-ready cut-to-size in the thicknesses Australian fabricators actually work in. Freight distance is real and we price it openly rather than burying it; we would rather you test us with one container than commit to a programme on a spreadsheet.

Duty on worked stone entering Australia is low; your importer confirms the rate. Biosecurity inspection is the practical gate, not duty.
Natural granite contains no resin-bound high-silica composite. Engineered stone has been prohibited in Australia since 2024 — natural stone is not affected by that ban.
Commercial invoice, packing list, bill of lading, certificate of origin, fumigation certificate. Australian biosecurity requires ISPM-15 timber and a clean container.
